Welcome to En Avant Dancewear, a one-stop site for all things beloved by dancers both within and beyond the studio.
The founder of En Avant Dancewear trained and graduated as a dance student from School of the Arts, Singapore. Upon realizing the limited availability of affordable dancewear in Singapore, she embarked on a mission to make the beloved art form of ballet more accessible to all.
Her journey began with a small storefront on community marketplace platform Carousell in 2018. However, her humble passion project quickly grew thanks to the overwhelming support of the local dance community. This enabled her to officially establish En Avant Dancewear as an independent business in 2023.
Her vision extends beyond just providing affordable dancewear; she also cares deeply about collaborating with and supporting local talents. Through such partnerships, she hopes to further enrich the dance community and create opportunities for aspiring dancers.
In ballet terminology, En Avant means "forward facing".
En Avant Dancewear aspires to be forward facing not only in terms of design and style but also in the way we approach the needs and desires of dancers.
The parallel lines in our logo is inspired by the ballet barre.
The barre is where every dancer starts their classes, builds their foundation, and takes their first steps into the captivating world of dance. En Avant Dancewear strives to ensure that dancers of all ages and abilities can find the perfect attire to suit their needs and that makes them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to shine.
